Eggleston Show 2021
After an absence of one year due to Coronavirus restrictions, Eggleston Show was back this year with a bang. It is estimated it attracted more than 5,000 visitors over the day - and Upper Teesdale Churches Together was there to meet and greet and entertain them!
Our theme was "Made in the image of God" and helped by local clergy, volunteers and local cartoon artist Chris Bambrough, we were able to engage with visitors to our stand throughout the day.
"We wanted to show that the churches in the dale are a vital part of our communities as well as help folk really enjoy the day," said UTCT chair Mary Howard.
As well as the chance to have their cartoon portrait drawn by Chris, there were activities for youngsters (and some adults!) and each visitor was handed a mirror-card with the message: 'You are beautifully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139: 14).

The Eggleston Show held annually on 3rd Saturday in September.
The Churches Together stall is manned by Deanery & Circuit members.
Our Mission, as always, is to show people that the church is alive and well and in the community.
In 2014 children coloured prayer flowers and watch them open. The prayers were prayed the next day in our churches. In 2015 we gave away 500 crocus bulbs with 'Plant a Prayer' cards. In 2016 we gave away 500 grace cards and over 700 biscuits, baked by the members of all our churches; and so they did not feel left out we also gave out dog biscuits as well.
